There seems to be alot more sickness going around than health these days at our house. The kids and I had colds a few weeks ago. Then Tyler came down sick on Friday night while Lorelle was at her friend's house. I figured I'd dope him up on medicine and see how he was on Saturday. Well, his fever just never went away all through the weekend (because of course it had to happen when the doctor's office is closed) and he continued coughing, sneezing, running nose - - all that fun stuff that mothers just love. Since Lorelle pretty much spent the whole weekend away from the house, either with her friend Avery or with her Grandparents and Aunt's family, Tyler and I were able to just chill in bed and take it easy. So Monday morning after I got off work I went ahead and stayed up so I could call the doctor's office as soon as they opened and got both the kids in for appointments. (Lorelle woke up with a sore throat.) The doctor said Lorelle's is just in the cold stage, but poor Tyler has the beginnings on pnemonia. They seemed pretty surprise that I caught it so early. But for me, knowing that he had a constant fever that never seemed to break since Saturday, I knew something was wrong. So after having to deal with a couple different pharmacies I was able to get his antibiotics. Thank goodness for my Dad!!! He knew I needed him! He called in the evening when I was trying to figure out if I should really take the kids back out in the 32 degree weather or wait until tomorrow, yet knowing that Tyler really needed to get started on his medication tonight. So he called to see what was going on with me and offered to come babysit the kids while I ran to the store. What a lifesaver!!!!! I do have to say there is one good thing about the whole day...unlike my sister's kids, mine get sick when Dad comes into town...not when he leaves town! HAHA :-)

(Except for the rude comment about the timing of my kids illnesses) Your blog got me teary eyed when I read about dad being there for you. We are so lucky!
